Bloody Halloween refers to the fight that occurred between the Tokyo Manji Gang and Valhalla on October 31, 2005. The fight was spectated by many delinquents and gangs, such as the Haitani Brothers and Leanman, and was supervised by Hansen from the Ikebukuro Criminal Black Members.

Draken warns Takemichi about the past
After Takemichi Hanagaki resolves the dispute between Toman and Moebius and prevents the death of Ken Ryuguji, he returns to the present only to find out that he fails to save Hinata Tachibana and Toman yet again. With only the clue that Tetta Kisaki transformed Toman into a violent organization, Takemichi learns that the gang was unified with Valhalla and that Manjiro Sano had become violent, having killed Kazutora Hanemiya for murdering Keisuke Baji on October 31, 2005, or more commonly known as Bloody Halloween.
Summary[]
On the day of the battle, spectators gather at the abandoned car lot to watch the fight between Toman and Valhalla, as the victor of the fight will be one step closer to ruling Tokyo. Hansen, a member of the Ikebukuro Criminal Black Members, acts as an overseer for the fight and calls for both gangs to enter. Mikey thanks Hansen for overseeing the fight.
The representatives for Toman and Valhalla, Draken and Kazutora, respectively, step up to Hansen to determine the format of the battle: a five-on-five fight, or an all-out fight. Draken tells Kazutora to decide, as Valhalla started the conflict. Draken however states that they just have one condition: if Toman wins, they will take Baji back, however, Kazutora responds that Baji joined Valhalla on his own, so they cannot take Baji back now. Draken still insists on his goal, which angers Kazutora. Seeing Kazutora's temper, Hansen warns him not to start fighting yet. In response, Kazutora punches him telling Toman that Valhalla's goal is to torture them to death. Both gangs run toward each other, ready to engage when the fight begins.
As the fight between Toman and Valhalla begins, Takemichi searches for Baji, but gets caught in the brawl. Kazutora tries to punch Mikey, but is blocked by Draken, who tells him he is nowhere near Mikey's level. However, Draken is then preoccupied with Hanma, who kicks him, engaging him in a fight, which leaves Kazutora with Mikey, who tells Kazutora he will not hold back.
Momentarily distracted by seeing Kazutora with Mikey, Takemichi is beaten up by a Valhalla member, but Mitsuya saves him, admonishing him for coming without being prepared to fight. Although Takemichi sees the necessity of fighting to achieve his mission, his lack of fighting skills leads him to become scared, especially when he sees two Valhalla members ready to fight him and he begins to cry. Chifuyu appears behind him, reassuring Takemichi by offering to watch his back and telling him to focus on the current objective. He says that though everyone gets scared during a fight, the important thing is how you handle it. Invigorated by both Chifuyu's words, as well as his drive to save Hina, Takemichi becomes eager to fight.
Although he has the aid of Chifuyu, Takemichi is still being punched multiple times by Valhalla members. However, he is determined to fight against this, as he views this as an obstacle preventing him from stopping the worst future. The Division Captains, such as Mitsuya and Draken, are able to fend off their opponents, but because Valhalla greatly overpowers Toman, in strength and number, other members of Toman are defeated and lose morale. Draken has to defend other members, in addition to himself. Taunting Draken, Hanma tells him to fight him, but numerous Valhalla members stand between them.
Suddenly, they are distracted by a roar coming from Takemichi, who is beaten nearly unconscious but continues fighting, determined to win. As he sways, unbalanced, Takemichi makes a drive to win clear. Mitsuya catches an unconscious Takemichi, commenting on how he is impressed. Takemichi's determination despite his subpar fighting skills spurs the Toman members to regain their resolve, and Draken successfully fights his way toward Hanma. Draken eventually punches Hanma repeatedly, throwing him back at a large distance, much to the awe of those there.
Meanwhile, Mikey chases Kazutora, and both of them ended up on a pile of cars, where Mikey becomes ambushed by both captains of Valhalla, Chonbo and Chome, whom Kazutora met at reform school. Mikey fends off an attack by Chonbo, but lands on his knees, which Kazutora taunts him for. He reveals that the uneven surface of the cars prevents Mikey from using effective kicks. Though he avoids an attack by Chonbo, Chome leaps at Mikey's back. While Mikey takes on Chonbo and Chome, Kazutora watches and picks up a metal pipe from the discarded cars. Mikey is able to hold off the two, but Kazutora strikes him with the pipe, knocking him unconscious.
Kazutora declares victory for Valhalla, but Mikey regains consciousness and begins to get up while asking him a question: is he Kazutora's enemy? Kazutora recalls his younger days, with Mikey telling Kazutora he belonged to him, but Kazutora reminds himself that people can betray anyone. Though he does not remember much of his childhood, Kazutora remembers witnessing his mother at the hands of domestic abuse. He recalls his mother asking him whether he was on his mother's side or his father's. In both situations, Kazutora blames the person asking the question; he tells Mikey he suffered because of him, attributing his detention to Mikey, and considers him an enemy. Kazutora says that he will eliminate anyone in his way, as killing people makes one a bad guy, but killing enemies makes one a hero. Takemichi and Draken are taken aback by Kazutora's mental instability and unsettling behavior, and Hanma comments that Kazutora has lost it.
Eventually, Kazutora has Chonbo and Chome restrain Mikey, while he hits him with the pipe. Hanma declares the fight over, and Rindo Haitani says that Mikey lost. Draken rushes to help Mikey, but is knocked down by Hanma. Kazutora declares that he will kill the enemy, referring to Mikey, in order to become a hero. In the midst of Kazutora's hits, Mikey asks if that is the reason why Kazutora killed Shinichiro. Breaking free from Chonbo and Chome, Mikey kicks Kazutora unconscious. Mikey eventually falls to his knees afterward.
Noticing Mikey's weakness, Choji prepares to lead Valhalla to curb-stomp Mikey. Takemichi feels that he recognizes Choji, but is unable to put a finger on it. Both Chifuyu and Mitsuya attempted to stop Valhalla from reaching Mikey, however, they are outnumbered.
Takemichi rushes towards Mikey in an attempt to help him, but is beaten up by various Valhalla members. Just as Chouji is about strike Mikey, Kisaki stands between them, knocking out Chouji with a punch. As Kisaki declares that the First Division will protect Mikey, Takemichi remembers why he recognizes Chouji: he first saw him with Kisaki. The members of Toman, including Mitsuya and Draken, are impressed with Kisaki's loyalty and skills. Takemichi realizes that no matter the outcome of the battle, Kisaki will achieve his goals: he will be able to rise within the ranks of Toman. As Draken tells Kisaki that he entrusts Mikey to him, Baji appears behind Kisaki, about to strike him with a pipe.
Baji successfully knocks down Kisaki, to the delight of the Valhalla members. Draken implores him to stop, and Mitsuya tells Baji that they came to bring him back. Baji is thrown off by a Toman member, who asks Kisaki if he is alright. Kisaki calls Baji a fly, and requests him to be swatted dead. Baji eggs Kisaki on, and Takemichi panics, as he believes Baji will be killed if he continues to fight. Suddenly, Chifuyu blocks Baji's path, in front of him. Baji orders Chifuyu to move out of the way, however, he refuses, telling Baji that taking down Kisaki will cause Baji to fight Mikey. In response, Baji hits Chifuyu with a pipe, telling him that he only kept him around to use in fights, furthermore, proclaims that he does not care about Chifuyu. Although he gets hit by Baji, Chifuyu still wants to protect Baji: if Baji wants to get past him, he will not hold back.
Baji then orders Chifuyu to fight him in ten seconds, however, Chifuyu is unable to move. Taunting him as soon as he counts down the seconds, Baji proclaims that killing him is the only solution to stop him. As soon as the count ends, Takemichi pushes Baji out of the way, telling Chifuyu to stop Baji together. Crying, Chifuyu refuses, as he is unable to hit Baji, whom someone Chifuyu truly respects. Baji then elbows Takemichi in the head, causing Takemichi to let go of Baji and drift into unconsciousness until he remembers his goals of saving Hina and Mikey. Takemichi then regains both his consciousness and his resolve for a better future, starting by saving Baji from Kisaki. He then recalls that it is Kazutora, not Kisaki, who ends up killing Baji. As soon as he searches for Kazutora, he notices that Kazutora is not at the top of the pile of cars. Eventually, Kazutora appears behind Baji, then stabs him.
After Kazutora stabs Baji, Takemichi throws Kazutora off him and Baji. Baji thanks Takemichi for the save, and says the stab wound is just a scratch. Chifuyu grabs Kazutora, questioning his motives, while Takemichi tells Baji he is glad he is alive. Baji tells him that he is taking down Kisaki regardless, while Takemichi frantically ponders the situation, from Kisaki saving Mikey, to Baji attacking Kisaki, and Baji's stabbing by Kazutora. He is confused by the situation and what to do next, but is relieved Baji is still alive, thereby eliminating Mikey's reason to kill Kazutora, leaving Takemichi with the goal of defeating Kisaki and becoming Toman's leader. He and Chifuyu offer to fight Kisaki along with Baji, who responds to this by punching both of them, telling them to stay out of his way.
When Takemichi questions why Baji is doing this alone, Baji only responds by telling Takemichi to take care of Mikey for him. Fifty Third Division members stand between Baji and Kisaki, and Baji begins to fight them. Meanwhile, Kisaki observes that Kazutora failed, and calls Hanma. Baji eventually makes his way to Kisaki, holding a sharpened pipe to his neck. About to kill him, Baji suddenly collapses to his knees, coughing blood from the injuries he has already sustained. Baji then collapses.
Rushing to Baji's side, Chifuyu demands to know what Kisaki did to Baji, to which Kisaki responds that he did not do anything. Chifuyu notices a pool of blood under Baji, and Takemichi realizes that the stab wound Baji sustained was actually severe. As Chifuyu screams Kazutora's name, Takemichi realizes that everything is going along with Kisaki's plans, with Baji dying. Kisaki says that Kazutora lured Baji into Valhalla to kill him, which Takemichi recognizes as a lie to provoke Mikey, who gets up.
Addressing Kazutora, Mikey tells him that Baji was the one who stopped Mikey from killing Kazutora, by explaining Kazutora's motives and rationale. Takemichi notices Mikey's lack of emotion, just as Mikey declares that the fight is over. Hanma protests this challenging Mikey, but he is quickly knocked unconscious by Mikey's kick. Following Hanma's defeat, the rest of Valhalla run away, fearing for their lives. Kazutora tells Mikey that people can betray anyone, and presents him with an ultimatum: to end their fight, either he or Mikey has to die. In response, Mikey punches Kazutora, telling him that if he destroys the things he cares about, he will have to destroy Kazutora.
As Mikey continues beating Kazutora, Draken says no one will be able to stop him. Thinking back to his second prison visit to Draken, Takemichi realizes the events are heading to the bad future, and cries upon knowing that he is helpless. On the phone, Hanma remarks that Baji was a traitor after all, which causes Kazutora to think that Baji is abandoning him, as he thinks back to the night he killed Shinichiro: after Kazutora swears to kill Mikey, Baji hugs him, telling him not to say something so depressing, as he will be with Kazutora until the end.
As Kazutora realizes that he took what was precious to himself and destroyed it, he cries, saying that he will be with Baji soon. Despite his wounds, Baji rises and screams for Mikey. He thanks Mikey for getting mad on his behalf, and while getting up and walking towards him, says that Kazutora's stab wound will not kill him. Instead, he opens his own switchblade and stabs himself.
Baji tells Kazutora that he will not be the one to kill him. Chifuyu rushes to Baji's side asking why he did it, while Kazutora rises and tells Mikey he will die along with Baji; Mikey tells Kazutora that he will beat him to death. Takemichi asks what Baji wanted to achieve by stabbing himself.
Baji tells Takemichi that Kisaki is the enemy, something he realized when he witnessed Kisaki offering Mikey Pah-chin's freedom in exchange for the position as Third Division Captain. He does not consider Kisaki the Third Division Captain, saying that only Pah-chin will be the Third Division Captain. Baji says the six founding members of Toman are his treasure, and although he was unable to fix Toman on his own, Mikey has no reason to kill Kazutora now, as Baji died by his own hands. Nearing death, Baji tells Takemichi that he reminds him of Shinichiro, and says he is leaving Mikey and Toman in Takemichi's hands, to which Takemichi cries, telling Baji not to die.
Baji lies in Chifuyu's arms, telling him that he would like to eat Peyoung Yakisoba. As he cries, Chifuyu tells Baji he will buy some, and Baji tells him they will split it, thanking him with a smile as he dies. Chifuyu screams in agony.
Angered by Baji's death, Mikey begins repeatedly punching Kazutora, to the extent of knocking him unconscious. Noticing Chifuyu holding Baji in his arms and recalling Baji's words, Takemichi then throws himself between Mikey and Kazutora, who attempted to stop Mikey. Mikey threatens to kill Takemichi if he continues to interfere, however, although Mikey punches him back, Takemichi desperately implores him to stop, saying that Baji would not have wanted this to happen. Mikey then tells Takemichi angrily not to talk about Baji, causing Takemichi to cry out in frustration yelling out Baji is dead.
Taking off his jacket, Takemichi explains that Baji died for Toman, killing himself so that Kazutora would not be responsible for his death, and Mikey could forgive him. As his jacket falls, Baji's omamori charm falls out. Mikey and all the other founding members recognize it and became surprised by it. Mikey then recalls the origin of the charm, noticing Baji held the omamori charm with him all this time. He eventually stops punching Kazutora, and tearfully apologizes to Baji's body.

Baji dying in Chifuyu's hands
The October 31st conflict between Toman and Valhalla resulted in one death and one arrest, which became known as Bloody Halloween. Toman was considered the victor of this conflict.
As soon as the sounds of police sirens approached the scene, both gangs begin to leave the car lot, however, only Kazutora stayed with Baji's body, as a way to take responsibility for his actions. Before Mikey and the rest of Toman leave, Kazutora bows down and apologizes to Mikey. Kazutora then was sent to juvenile detention, expecting to receive a ten-year sentence there.
Two weeks after the battle, most of Toman are still dealing with the outcome of the battle. Chifuyu visits Baji's grave, leaving behind incense and half a container of Peyoung Yakisoba. He breaks down, grappling with his uncertain future without Baji.
Following the events of the battle, Valhalla then joins under Toman, since Valhalla never had an official leader. Toman rejoices over its growth, chanting in celebration. Hanma is then appointed as the Sixth Division leader of Toman, with ex-Valhalla members joining under him.
Following the loss of First Division captain Baji, the First Division does not have an appointed leader. At first, Chifuyu was appointed by Mikey as a replacement to lead the First Division, however, after consulting with Mikey, Takemichi was nominated by Chifuyu as the First Division leader. Takemichi then agrees to the nomination, replacing Baji, thus becoming the leader of the First Division of Toman.
