Summary[]
When Takemichi asks Mikey what they are doing at Hina's home, Mikey does not provide a helpful response. As Hina stands before him, Takemichi feels awkward and does not know what to say, as the way he dumped her was one-sided.[2] Seeing Takemichi's swollen and bloody face, Hina simply asks if he got into another fight. Takemichi begins to tear up.
Hina confronts her father
A few hours earlier, Hina demands to know what her father said to Takemichi that caused him to break up with her. Although her father apologizes to her, he tells her the same thing he told Takemichi: he wants Hina to be happy and feels that a relationship with a delinquent will not produce this.[3] Hina says that her father did not marry her mother because of how he would appear to society. She says that she likes Takemichi for who he is on the inside, a very kind and warm person who will always come help her. Telling her father not to call him a delinquent and act like they are all the same, she storms out of her house.
Draken gets Emma's call
Emma tells Hina to confess her feelings
Hina ends up at a shrine, praying. Behind her, Emma appears, asking who comes to pray at a shrine on Christmas. Emma reveals that she is also there to pray, as it was a tradition that Shinichiro would partake in. Surprised, Hina says that she also comes every Christmas to pray. When Emma asks what she prayed for, Hina tells her about her father making Takemichi break up with her. Emma stands up, telling Hina to leave the situation to her. She ends up calling Draken, asking him where Takemichi is. Neither he nor Mikey, whom he is with,[4] who where Takemichi is. Emma orders them to look for him, to which Mikey agrees, along with a reluctant Draken. Mikey says the impulse he heard earlier had to be Mitsuya's, so Takemichi is probably with him. Emma tells them to bring Takemichi back, where they will meet in front of Hina's place. Emma insists that Hina should tell Takemichi how she feels. Hina worries that she may not know what to say, as she may just cry upon seeing him.
Takemichi asks to get back together
When he sees her again, Takemichi bursts into tears, apologizing to Hina. Although he understands where her father is coming from, he tells Hina that he cannot let her get hurt after he swore to save her, which confuses Hina. Even if she gets run over by a truck and becomes paralyzed,[5] he says he will save her no matter how many tries it takes. Takemichi tearfully asks if they can get back together.
