"Best wishes" is the third chapter of the 13th volume and the 110th chapter overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers manga series, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.
Summary[]
Takemichi and Hina arrive at the shrine for New Year's Eve. There, they encounter Mitsuya and his younger sisters, along with Hakkai and Yuzuha. Mitsuya jokingly says Takemichi is dressed up for Shichi-Go-San. To his surprise, Mitsuya's younger sisters are cheeky and reject his humor, instead gravitating towards Hina. Hina remarks that Yuzuha and Hakkai have already healed from their injuries on Christmas. Luna and Mana preoccupy Hina, effectively stealing Takemichi's date.
As Takemichi complains, Hakkai notices Yuzuha staring. He remarks that anyone would fall for him after how strong he was on Christmas. Yuzuha says that when Taiju left their home two days ago, he said that he wanted to raise Hakkai to be strong; he could not make Hakkai overcome his weakness, but Takemichi did. Seeing this, Taiju sees no reason for him to live with his siblings anymore. Although he does not see himself reforming, he accepts that violence is not the only answer before bidding goodbye to Yuzuha. Her eyes shining, Yuzuha says that Takemichi changed both Taiju and Hakkai. This shocks Hakkai, as he thought she was talking about Mitsuya at first. Yuzuha says that she only sees Mitsuya as a brother, as his hair is too short. As Hakkai exclaims in shock that she is in love with Takemichi, Yuzuha says she is not, since he is seeing Hina, but there is nothing wrong with a one-sided crush.
Meanwhile, Hina remarks to Takemichi that the shrine sells ema, wish plaques. The group agrees to all get one, and they write their wishes on them. Mitsuya wishes to become a better fighter, while his sisters wish their mother will play with them more. When Hina asks what Takemichi wrote on his ema, he tells her he cannot show it, as the wish will not come true that way. When Hakkai and Mitsuya inquire further, Takemichi panics and accidentally throws his ema in the air. As he chases it down, it lands at the feet of Chifuyu, who is there with Peh-yan. Chifuyu instinctively throws the ema back into the air. Hearing Takemichi's screams, as well as seeing their fellow Toman members chasing him, Smiley and Mucho decide to join in.
Finally, the ema drops at the feet of Mikey, who is with Emma and Draken. Mikey happily hands over the ema, just as they are ten seconds from the new year. Mikey suggests they all jump at midnight; as they do, Takemichi's ema gets propelled into the air once again. It is revealed that his wish is to become a hero who can save everyone.
Meanwhile, as they overlook the city, Hanma remarks that he never expected Takemichi to pull off what happened on Christmas night. However, Kisaki says it will not end here.
