Summary[]

Hanma threatens to leave (manga)

Hanma threatens to leave

After Kisaki's firing is announced,[2] Toman reacts in confusion. Chifuyu tells Takemichi that although he informed Mikey of Kisaki's betrayal,[3] he did not expect Mikey would fire Kisaki, as he was a high-ranking captain. A shocked Kisaki asks if Mikey is joking, but Mikey says he is not. Approaching the stage, Hanma says that if Kisaki is fired, he will leave as well, taking the former Moebius and Valhalla members with him, which will leave Toman with only a hundred members.

Hanma swings at Draken (manga)

Hanma swings at Draken

Mikey says he does not care, as Toman has gotten too big. In response, Kisaki reminds Mikey that expanding Toman is his goal, to which Mikey asks if Kisaki's instigation of the Christmas conflict was a way to expand Toman. He reveals to Toman that Kisaki spurred on Takemichi and gave Yuzuha a knife to kill Taiju.[4] Hearing this, Toman turns on Kisaki. Chifuyu reiterates that he did not think Kisaki would be fired, as he and Mitsuya did not have concrete evidence of Kisaki's betrayal. He says that the fallout of the firing will be interesting to watch. Mikey tells Kisaki that he has ignored his methods up until now. A panicked Kisaki runs towards Mikey, telling him that he has grown weak, as Taiju posed a threat to Toman, so he acted for Mikey's sake. Draken appears in front of Kisaki, asking who allowed him to come up near Mikey; Hanma swings at Draken, telling him to let Kisaki talk.

Kisaki says Mikey needs him (manga)

Kisaki says Mikey needs him

Kisaki implores Mikey to ignore everyone, once again reminding him of his goal to create a new age. Meanwhile, watching this, Takemichi wonders if Kisaki is now desperate, as he can no longer achieve his goal of becoming Mikey's right-hand man. Kisaki tells Mikey that Toman has the potential to become a powerful, influential organization; with any large organization, darkness will develop. Kisaki says he will take on that darkness, just so Mikey can shine; as a result, Mikey needs him, and he needs Mikey, begging him to reconsider. Takemichi notes that Kisaki's rationale is not grounded in reason. In the end, Mikey upholds his decision, telling Kisaki that his arbitrary actions will ruin his dream. As the meeting ends, Takemichi wonders if his mission is a success, though it feels too good to be true.
