Takemichi plans to stay until he becomes Toman's leader (manga)

Takemichi plans to stay until he becomes Toman's leader

After Chifuyu notes that it has stopped raining, Takemichi thanks him, as he feels like he has broken free after their conversation. Before, he was unable to find a solution, as he viewed Mikey as possessing otherworldly strength, but he now sees that Mikey is their friend. Takemichi recalls that Mikey told him that his life was nothing but pain[2]; he decides to do anything to support Mikey, including taking him on when he messes up. He tells Chifuyu that he has decided not to return to the future until he becomes the leader of Toman, as a way to enact his final revenge. Chifuyu tells Takemichi that he will help him in any way.

Chifuyu speculates on Kisaki

At a public bath, they prepare to discuss their plans; Takemichi's hands sting from punching the tire[3]. Chifuyu says that trying to take on Mikey will not solve anything, and Takemichi agrees, wondering if there will be another large battle. He explains that he could impress Toman and become the leader at this battle; Chifuyu calls him short-sighted. Chifuyu asks how Mikey turned out the way he did, as he wonders how much someone can change in twelve years; he thinks that something may have happened that caused Mikey's inner darkness to imbue him.

Kisaki wants revenge (manga)

Kisaki wants revenge

Takemichi mentions Kisaki as a possible reason, since the biggest change in the timeline was Kisaki getting fired from Toman[4]. Chifuyu disputes this, as he doubts what Kisaki said about Mikey needing him. However, Takemichi explains that Kisaki was the source of Toman's darkness in the previous futures, so him leaving Toman may be one of the reasons Mikey changed.

Meanwhile, in Yokohama, Izana Kurokawa asks Kisaki why he wants to join him. Kisaki replies that he wants to take revenge in his own way.
