Summary[]

Mocchi defeats Smiley

Mocchi defeats Smiley

On Smiley's bike, Takemichi asks if they are really going to attack Tenjiku in Yokohama, to which Smiley affirmatively replies. When Smiley asks him, Chifuyu is reluctant to admit his loss at Mocchi's hands, saying that he was only sucker-punched; he is eager to fight Tenjiku. Angry and Smiley tell Chifuyu not to push himself, admitting that Mocchi is extremely strong, as both of them have lost to him before.

When they made the Twin Devils Gang prior to joining Toman, they frequently conflicted with Mocchi's gang, Jugem. In their final conflict, the leaders of each gang fought each other, and both Smiley and Angry were defeated by Mocchi. When Chifuyu asks the twins why they remember a fight they lost so fondly, they reply that they do not pick fights they know they will win, much like Takemichi. Because Mocchi is preoccupied in Shinjuku,[2] it is a perfect opportunity to raid Tenjiku.

Takemichi and Chifuyu suspect Kisaki can time-leap

After they notice two Tenjiku members, Smiley and Angry prepare to gather information about Tenjiku's hideout from them, while Takemichi and Chifuyu wait. Takemichi remarks that their method of gathering information is more like torture. As Smiley and Angry chase after the Tenjiku members, Takemichi tells Chifuyu that he met Kisaki, who has joined Tenjiku.[3] Takemichi concludes that Kisaki planned to attack Toman using Tenjiku. Additionally, he believes Kisaki is a time leaper, as Takemichi has been unsuccessful in improving the future thus far. He recalls his conversation with Chifuyu at the bathhouse, where he believed that Mikey needed Kisaki somehow.[4] However, he now believes that Kisaki's goal is to create a Toman that is convenient for him, coming from the future to achieve this. Thinking back to the suffering he attributes to Kisaki, such as Baji's death, as well as the future deaths of Akkun,[5] Chifuyu,[6] and Hina,[7] he swears to make Kisaki pay.
