"Mortal enemy" is the ninth chapter of the 15th volume and the 134th chapter overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers manga series, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.

As Takemichi cradles a gravely wounded Naoto, Kisaki remarks on the carelessness of Naoto's attempt to save Takemichi.[2] As Naoto implores Takemichi to run, Izana walks up, telling Kisaki that he was going to kill Naoto. Kisaki apologizes, explaining that he intended to shoot Takemichi. Izana tells Takemichi and Naoto that they killed "his" Mikey, leaving Takemichi confused. He then orders Kakucho to kill Takemichi; before he is shot, Takemichi remembers Kakucho's plea to save Izana.[3]

As he lays on the ground dying, Takemichi apologizes to Naoto. Naoto recollects that when they first met, he was filled with despair, not wanting to put all his trust into someone as pathetic as Takemichi; he was dumbfounded as to why Hina would fall in love with him. But after witnessing Takemichi's numerous failures, he believes Takemichi is a hero, never giving up regardless. As he reaches out for what he considers their last handshake, he tells Takemichi he is proud of him. With both of them tearing up, Naoto remarks that death is terrifying. As they clasp hands, Takemichi swears to not let their handshake be the last, believing that he will never give up.
