Mucho speculates why Inupi wanted to join under Takemichi

Takemichi asks Mucho what he is trying to accomplish, as Izana only formed Tenjiku to target Mikey. However, Mucho says this is incorrect, saying that Takemichi, Kokonoi, and Inupi were abducted for a reason. He asks Inupi why they joined the First Division,[2] speculating that they did so to avoid being manipulated again, such as when Taiju compelled them to devote their lives to him.[3] In exchange for Inupi using Taiju's strength to rebuild the Black Dragons, Kokonoi was recruited into the Black Dragons.

Mucho presents an ultimatum to Kokonoi

Mucho explains that Kokonoi is a valuable asset, as he has an aptitude for money-making, leaving him desirable to Izana. Takemichi thinks back to the futures he witnessed, realizing that Kokonoi was always there,[4][5] meaning that he coordinated Toman's finances in the future. Mucho remarks that Kokonoi's devotion to Inupi, and in turn, Takemichi, is annoying. He plans to kill Inupi and Takemichi, which will force Kokonoi to join Tenjiku. As he stomps on Takemichi's face, Mucho presents Kokonoi with an ultimatum: either he joins Tenjiku, or he will be killed alongside Inupi and Takemichi.

He tells Takemichi that Izana is not just targeting Mikey: he seeks Kokonoi's assets, Kisaki's intelligence, and Mikey's charisma, all of which are needed to create the most powerful criminal syndicate. Mucho offers to spare Inupi and Takemichi if Kokonoi agrees to join Tenjiku; however, Takemichi tells Kokonoi that he should not obey Mucho. Takemichi tells Mucho that he will not give up Kokonoi, even if he kills him. Internally, he believes he has found a way to fix the future by protecting Kokonoi, becoming determined and excited.
