"Come back to life" is the ninth chapter of the 16th volume and the 143rd chapter overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers manga series, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.

Inupi slumps against the wall, remarking that he must be going crazy. He reveals to Takemichi that their hideout is formally Shinichiro's bike shop, a place where all delinquents would gather. Takemichi is surprised that Inupi knew Shinichiro; Inupi describes the scene of the bike shop, recollecting that all the delinquents, even powerful ones, would respect Shinichiro, with Inupi considering Shinichiro his hero. He confirms Takemichi's speculation that his fixation on the Black Dragons stemmed from his desire to recreate the Black Dragons according to Shinichiro's original vision. Inupi remembers that even when he was surrounded by delinquents who admired him, Shinichiro remained humble while recollecting his days as a delinquent.

Because he admired Shinichiro, Inupi joined the eighth generation of Black Dragons, under Izana's leadership; however, Inupi says the gang had strayed significantly from its original vision, with the eighth and ninth generations committing serious crimes, from robbery to extortion. Because of the gang's bad influence, Inupi ended up in juvenile detention; by the time he was released, the Black Dragons had been destroyed.[2] Still enamored with his goal, Inupi had to rely on Taiju to rebuild the Black Dragons. Thinking back, Inupi questions what he was doing during this time.

Takemichi tells him that he can understand how Inupi feels, as he has a goal of saving someone; however, he has not been able to achieve this, no matter how hard he tries. He promises to fulfill Inupi's desire[3] of becoming the leader of the Black Dragons, as well as Toman's First Division captain. He vows to do this in addition to getting Kokonoi back and defeating Kisaki, Izana, and Tenjiku. When he asks for Inupi's support, Inupi entrusts his life to Takemichi.
