Chifuyu wonders if Toman can beat Tenjiku
In the early hours before the planned conflict with Tenjiku, Toman's emergency meeting commences. Takemichi reminds Chifuyu of their central goal: to retrieve Kokonoi and defeat Kisaki and Izana. Chifuyu says that this makes their goal to defeat Tenjiku entirely, to which Takemichi says it sounds simple. However, Chifuyu wonders if this is feasible.

Hakkai reveals Mitsuya and Smiley were attacked
Draken announces that Tenjiku will attack Toman today; they need to put forth their best effort, as Tenjiku will likely fight underhandedly. Hakkai angrily demands Toman do the same, explaining that Mitsuya and Smiley were victims of a motorcycle attack, leaving them unconscious and hospitalized; he believes that Toman will lose if pitted against Tenjiku's tactics. He points out that Toman is in shambles, with First Division beat up, the Second and Fourth Division captains incapacitated, the Third Division Captain absent, and the Fifth Division forsaken. This rouses various Toman members, who agree and suggest using weapons.

Peh wants to fight honorably
Just then, Peh-yan reves his bike, telling them to shut up. He remarks that they are cowardly for fearing defeat, recalling how Pah-chin used a weapon, leading to his arrest.[2] As a result of his anger with the situation, Peh-yan attacked Draken; he echos what Mikey told him during a confrontation: he did not want to fight Peh-yan.[3] Peh-yan attributes this to the reason that he is still here, telling the group that he wants to fight in a way Mikey would approve of: he wants to fight in a way that would not bring shame. Though he understands how Hakkai feels after the attack on Mitsuya, he tells him to look at Mikey, as he is not smiling. This mirrors what Mikey told Peh-yan in their confrontation.

Toman vows to defeat Tenjiku
With a serious face, Mikey orders Hakkai to stay with Mitsuya, explaining that the captains will want to rejoin the battle when they wake up, so Hakkai's role is to stop them; otherwise, Mikey will be worried about them, making his own fight difficult. He tells Takemichi that his division will carry out their goal. Mikey acknowledges that all the captains cannot help during this battle, but they can rely on him. With their confidence renewed, Toman vows to crush Tenjiku.
