Soon after, Izana approaches them, remarking that the Black Dragons got its eleventh leader on the anniversary of its founding. Seeing Takemichi, he acknowledges his presence; however, Takemichi does not recognize him until Inupi screams Izana's name, grabbing him and demanding to know what he is doing with Kokonoi. Izana calmly reminds him that Kokonoi chose to join Tenjiku[2] and he is just here to visit his brother's grave; he tells Inupi that he does not care about him anymore, as he now has Kokonoi. Behind them, Mikey, who is with Emma, tells Inupi to let go. He orders Takemichi to leave with Emma.

Emma vows to save Mikey

She asks aloud why boys have to fight all the time, saying that Mikey has always retained a strong exterior as a gang leader. When he lost people close to him, such as Shinichiro[3] and Baji,[4] he hid his weakness; however, she says he is just a child, unable to sleep without his old blanket.[5] Emma vows to save Mikey, just like how he saved her. Takemichi realizes that Emma is the only person who can understand and support Mikey. However, he remembers that Mikey became evil from his pain[6][7] and wonders how this happened with Emma's presence. Meanwhile, Emma asks him if he wants a drink from a vending machine. As he tries to remember if Emma exists in the future, Kisaki and Hanma ride towards them.
