Summary

Takemichi reveals that Kisaki is not a time-leaper

Takemichi and Chifuyu pass time at the edge of the local river after Emma Sano's funeral. Chifuyu tries to cheer Takemichi by trying to get him to skip stones with him, but to no avail. Takemichi is completely lost in his thoughts. He admits to Chifuyu that he has been thinking of Kisaki, and how despite not being a time-leaper, was able to somehow time and time again reach his goals.

Takemichi in the river

Chifuyu is shocked at the news that Kisaki was not a time-leaper. Takemichi admits that despite all the evil things Kisaki had done, deep inside, he still admires him for his incredible intellect and cunning. Chifuyu reprimands him, saying that Kisaki's death was well-deserved. Suddenly, Takemichi, with a shout, jumps up and into the river. A few moments pass with Takemichi not appearing from the water's surface, which makes Chifuyu worried. However, Takemichi finally comes out from under the water, shouting that he truly hates Kisaki. Kisaki had done everything in the name of his love for Hinata and also respected him as an opponent. Therefore, though he hates Kisaki with all his heart, he still has a desire to meet him again. Chifuyu breathes a sigh of relief, responding that although Kisaki was an enemy, he was still someone they knew personally. Thus, it would take a while to get over his death despite his wickedness.

Mikey asks Takemichi to tell him about the future

A few days pass after that incident. Takemichi, in gang uniform, arrives at the Toman meeting place alone, where Mikey, also clad in uniform, awaits. Mikey apologizes for taking up Takemichi's time while also asking him to tell him everything he knows about the present.
