A flashback occurs, dating back to a week before, March 8th, 2006, when Toman was officially disbanded.[2] After Mikey's speech marking its end, the leaders stay behind a little longer. Angry cries, remarking that he cannot believe Toman is ending; his brother replies that he shares his feelings, but if he were in Mikey's position, he would do the same, as numerous people close to him have died as a result of gang conflict.

Turning to Takemichi, Chifuyu asks what he will do now, as Kisaki is dead[3] and Toman is disbanded; as a result, Takemichi no longer has a mission in the past. Takemichi agrees; since Kisaki is dead, he cannot kill Naoto,[4] ensuring that Takemichi can go back to a better future. Although Takemichi wants to go back as soon as possible, he is sad that he cannot see his friends in the past anymore. Chifuyu and Mikey look on solemnly.

Suddenly, Hakkai suggests they create a time capsule to commemorate Toman's disbandment. Mikey agrees, telling them to write a letter to their future selves. In twelve years, they will gather to reopen the capsule. The group arranges to meet up at the shrine a week later, bringing letters and other important items.

A week later, they excitedly agree to meet up again in twelve years, on the day of Toman's formation,[5] with Mikey urging them not to forget. Later, Takemichi to Mikey apologizes for all the trouble to send him back home. Mikey remarks that it is goodbye, as everyone has their own place, except for Takemichi, who belongs to the future. He promises that they will meet again in twelve years, with Toman and Hina, telling a tearful Takemichi that he will protect everyone. Smiling, he tells Takemichi not to be reluctant to leave, as Hina is waiting for him there.
