Naoto and Takemichi prepare for their last handshake

Naoto reacts in shock when he learns of Takemichi's plans to marry his sister,[2] who reassures Naoto that it will be later in the future. Chifuyu remarks that Takemichi's proposal came as a surprise to him as well. Takemichi apologizes to Naoto for the inconvenience of calling him out to shake his hand. As he holds out his hand, Takemichi tells Naoto that because they had their first handshake on the playground,[3] they should have their last one there too. He thanks Naoto for believing in him, crediting that belief to the successful events; when Naoto asks if this means that he and Hina are saved, Takemichi is confident in that belief. As he shakes hands with Naoto, Takemichi smiles at Chifuyu and Hina, promising to meet them in the future.

Back in the future, Takemichi finds himself in the bathroom, wearing a tuxedo. Since he was able to time-leap, this means that Naoto is alive. As he wonders where he is, he hears the ring of a wedding bell. Remembering his proposal to Hina, Takemichi panics, thinking that he is at his own wedding. Rushing out of the bathroom, he finds Hina, who admonishes him for being late, telling him that the wedding reception has begun. Upon seeing her alive, Takemichi's eyes well up with tears, as Hina drags him to the reception. Irritated, she reminds him that they cannot make the groom wait, as today is Haruki Hayashida's wedding ceremony. Still disoriented and processing the situation, Takemichi finally realizes he is attending Pah-chin's wedding.

Looking around the room, Takemichi recognizes Peh-yan, Mitsuya, Hakkai, Yuzuha, Smiley, Angry, Draken, Chifuyu, Inupi, and Kazutora. Seeing them alive and happy, Takemichi cries in joy. As he watches the jovial scene, Takemichi realizes that he overlooked something important.
