"Crack a smile" is the third chapter of the 23rd volume and the 200th chapter overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers manga series, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.

Mikey wishes Takemichi a happy life
In his video, Mikey says that although he has said plenty in his letter, he also wants to tell Takemichi something privately. He reveals that a "dark impulsivity" lies within him, another version of himself that he cannot control. Takemichi recalls this in the alternate future where Mikey killed Kazutora;[2] this "dark impulsivity" was kept at bay by Shinichiro, Emma, and Baji. Continuing, Mikey says he is scared of who he will become in the future, acknowledging that he will become unpleasant. He explains that this is why he left everyone in Toman, as he does not want to hurt those he cares about. Mikey asks Takemichi to promise not to seek him out, as the path he has chosen is his decision. Since they will not be meeting again, smiling, Mikey tells Takemichi that to live a happy life.

Takemichi reluctant to investigate Bonten
As the video ends, Takemichi realizes that Mikey's downfall was not caused by external factors; instead, it was his own "dark impulsivities" that lead him there, leaving Takemichi unable to do anything. As he walks home, dejected, Takemichi encounters an excited Kazutora, who has found leads on Mikey's whereabouts. To Kazutora's surprise, Takemichi says it is fine, as he no longer needs the leads. When Kazutora inquires about his sudden change of heart, Takemichi explains that Mikey would not want for him to seek him or Bonten out.

Hina in her wedding dress
A few days later, Takemichi stares blankly out of Mitsuya's studio. Hakkai grabs his attention, and Chifuyu tells him that the wedding preparations are ready. As Draken looks on, Mitsuya asks Yuzuha about her progress. Emerging from behind a curtain, Yuzuha says she is unsure; pushing back the curtain, she reveals Hina in her wedding dress. While Takemichi is overcome by Hina's beauty, Hakkai excitedly exclaims that Hina is pretty. Draken remarks that the look will be perfectly complete with hairstyling. Chifuyu says that Takemichi does not deserve someone as beautiful as Hina; blushing at the compliments, Hina giggles.
When Takemichi's eyes well up with tears, Hina asks him what is wrong. Takemichi confesses that he visualizes Mikey's smile when he feels happy. Suddenly, he remembers what Mikey said to him after their fight with Taiju: when he goes out of control, unable to control himself, Mikey wants Takemichi to scold him as Shinichiro would have.[3] Remembering Mikey's smile,[4][5] Takemichi realizes he cannot keep his promise to stay away from Mikey.
