Hina's necklace breaks
Hina rings the doorbell of Takemichi's apartment, but finds no one home. As she unlocks the door, she finds his apartment a dirty mess. As she announces her intent to clean up, her necklace[2] chain suddenly breaks; Hina remarks that her broken necklace seems like a bad omen.

Mikey shoots Takemichi
Meanwhile, when Mikey asks if Takemichi has any inquiries, Takemichi holds up an invitation to his wedding. He tells Mikey that he wants him to come, as everyone else is doing well, just as Mikey predicted.[3] However, the one only not doing well is Mikey. When Takemichi says this, Sanzu threatens to kill him; Mikey tells Sanzu to leave them be, allowing the two of them to talk alone. Sanzu obeys, telling Mikey he will wait downstairs.

Hina wonders where Takemichi is
With the two of them alone, Takemichi asks about Mikey's "dark impulsivity";[4] he initially thought that Mikey's downfall was a result of external factors, such as Kisaki or Shinichiro's death. Mikey remains silent. Continuing, Takemichi reveals that he can no longer time-leap, as his goal of saving Hina has been achieved, all thanks to Mikey. Standing up, Takemichi says that the future has changed because Mikey chose to protect it;[5] because of this, it is now his turn to save Mikey. Suddenly, Mikey shoots Takemichi twice from behind; as Takemichi falls to the ground in pain, Mikey shoots once more. Takemichi temporarily loses consciousness.
In Takemichi's apartment, Hina has just finished cleaning up. Looking out the window, she remarks that it is late, wondering what Takemichi is doing.
