Takemichi tells Mikey to ask for help
After Mikey jumps, Takemichi grabs on to him, telling Mikey that he won't let him die. The crowd below takes pictures of this unprecedented occurrence. As Takemichi desperately tells Mikey to grab onto his hand, Mikey remarks that Takemichi's actions are stupid, as he is trying to save someone who just tried to kill him. Weakened from his wounds, Takemichi begs Mikey to save himself, as he does not have much time left. However, Mikey tells him to let go since he wants to end everything in that moment. In response, Takemichi tells Mikey that he will regret doing this, continuing to ask Mikey to grab onto him, promising to save him by going back into the past.

Mikey asks for Takemichi's help
Still determined to end his life, Mikey reminds Takemichi that he can no longer time-leap; he says that he did not want to meet, as this would happen. As he pleads for Takemichi to put him to peace, Takemichi's grip on Mikey's wrist begins to slip. Takemichi tearfully shouts at Mikey to shut up and asks why he always burdens himself. He implores Mikey to ask for his help for once, promising to save him. Moved by Takemichi's words, Mikey tearfully asks Takemichi to save him.

Takemichi time-leaps to 2008
As Mikey cries, Takemichi's grip on his wrist slides, and they clasp hands. Just then, Takemichi time leaps to June 06, 2008, and wakes up crying in his room, being told to get dressed for high school.
