Summary[]
Before Brahman's gang meeting,[2] Senju and Akashi meet with a businessman, who welcomes Brahman's involvement with their business; he explains that many companies use gang power. Senju reluctantly agrees to help. After the businessman happily thanks her, thinking of his company's future success, Senju suddenly lashes out, threatening sabotage if the company involves itself in prostitution. The terrified man agrees and apologizes.
As they leave, an exasperated Akashi sighs, reminding Senju that the man is their customer. Although she does not expect businesses to be thoroughly ethical, Senju says Brahman's potential involvement angers her. Akashi responds by noting the difference between a child and an adult: the ability to prevent emotions from crowding one's judgment and decisions. He tells Senju that Mikey possesses this ability.
Meanwhile, Takemichi follows Draken to the Brahman meeting. He remarks on the meeting place, a nondescript building with cameras and an electronic door lock. As he walks in, a shocked Takemichi finds himself in the audience of a fighting ring. Draken explains that this is B1, Brahman's underground fighting ring. They coordinate and televise nightly matches for the rich, who bet on the fights. B1 created a gang of strong fighters, which formed Brahman.
Suddenly, Senju arrives and stops the fight, ordering the cameras off and announcing the meeting's commencement. As she enters, walking down the steps of the arena, Brahman welcomes her with great bravado. Taking her place in the center of the ring, she waves her hand, causing Brahman's chants to stop abruptly. She introduces Takemichi as Brahman's newest member, ordering him to join her in the arena. Senju lists Takemichi's numerous accomplishments in the gang world: Battle of 8/3, Bloody Halloween, the Christmas Conflict, the Kanto Incident, and his status as Toman's First Division Captain and Black Dragon's leader.
Handing Takemichi a Brahman uniform, Senju welcomes him into the gang. She then announces her intention to fight Kanto Manji Gang and Rokuhara Tandai next week, on July 14th, declaring the date as the Battle of the Three Deities. Putting on the uniform, Takemichi anticipates seeing Mikey. Akashi and Draken watch silently.
Later in the night, Takemichi ponders Senju's contrasting dispositions, from her childish and carefree shopping trip to her commanding presence at the meeting. He wonders about her mentality. Just then, a pebble strikes his window. Looking outside, he finds Senju. She invites him out on a date.
