Koko reveals Senju saved Takemichi

As Mikey prepares to deliver a final blow, Takemichi loses consciousness, his vision turning dark.

Takemichi wakes up in the hospital with severe injuries in his neck, arm, and face; he wears an oxygen mask. He finds Koko in his room, who informs Takemichi that he remained unconscious for three days following the showdown of the Three Deities. When Takemichi wonders how he is alive, Koko explains that Senju bowed to Mikey to protect Takemichi. The Battle of Three Deities concluded with the deaths of Draken and South Terano, the merging of Rokuhara Tandai and Kanto Manji Gang, and the dissolution of Brahman. Koko leaves Takemichi to process the battle's outcome. Before falling back into unconsciousness, Takemichi ponders Senju's sacrifice and Mikey's deadly change. He wonders what he is doing in the past.

Chifuyu questions and berates Takemichi

When Takemichi wakes up again, he finds Chifuyu beside him, who tells him he went to Draken's funeral. In tears, Chifuyu questions Takemichi, asking what is wrong with him; he changed the future with Draken's death. Chifuyu asks why Takemichi came back if the future was going well for everyone. Furiously grief-stricken, Chifuyu shouts, almost blaming Takemichi for Draken's death but stops short, apologizing. However, Takemichi agrees with his culpability and asks Chifuyu to leave. As he walks away, still in tears, Chifuyu bids Takemichi a quick recovery so he can beat him up in earnest.
