Hakkai concerned about the uniform (manga)

Hakkai concerned about the uniform

When asked to join Thousand Winters, Hakkai immediately accepts. He responds to Takemichi's surprise at his lack of hesitation by stating his unrelenting support. Chifuyu excitedly gives Hakkai a Thousand Winters uniform: a t-shirt with a cat and snowflake motif; Takemichi watches with embarrassment as Hakkai's enthusiasm wanes at the appearance of the shirt. With a mere trio of members in the gang, the group brainstorms other potential members. As they struggle to think of anyone, Takemichi wonders if  Hakkai and Chifuyu have any other friends, much to their indignation. Takemichi finally exclaims that he knows a reliable person.

The trio ends up in front of D&D Motorcycle Shop; Chifuyu wonders if their appearance is appropriate, given Draken's recent death[2]. However, Inupi greets them, and Takemichi explains Draken's dying wish to save Mikey[3]. He tells Inupi of his intention of fighting Kanto Manji Gang and asks Inupi to join Thousand Winters in achieving the same goal. Once again, Inupi joins without hesitation, telling Takemichi that he chooses him.

Inupi recounts the night of the Battle of Three Deities. While working in the shop, Inupi finds Koko outside with Takemichi on his back. As Inupi takes in Takemichi's horrific condition, Koko tells him to take Takemichi to the hospital. With Takemichi lying in the backseat of a D&D van, Inupi asks Koko what happened. Koko reveals that Mikey beat Takemichi during the aftermath of the Battle of the Three Deities, in which Senju and South were defeated. He explains that the era of the Three Deities has ended, making way for Mikey's era.

Inupi calls the uniform lame (manga)

Koko leaves Takemichi to Inupi as he returns to deal with the battle's aftermath. Inupi calls after Koko's retreating figure, asking if he is happy. He tells Koko that he can still live without thinking of Akane. However, Koko fondly jibes Inupi on thinking he is still fixated on Akane; he insists he is happy, equating his loyalty to Mikey to betting on the winning horse. Before turning away, Koko smiles as he tells Inupi that he picked a good person, referring to Takemichi.

With Inupi's admission to Thousand Winters, Chifuyu presents the t-shirt, asking Inupi to wear it. Inupi promptly spits on the shirt, telling an aghast Chifuyu that he will not wear something so lame.
