"Steel the show" is the sixth chapter of the 27th volume and the 239th chapter overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers manga series, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.
Summary[]
At Japan's Fashion Design Newcomer Awards, Takemichi, Chifuyu, and Hakkai eagerly wait for Mitsuya's entry. As they marvel at the other contestant's impressive designs, Takemichi wonders if Mitsuya can win.
Backstage, Yasuda rushes to bring Mitsuya materials as he puts the finishing touches on his pieces. He tells her to stop addressing him as club president. Finished with his designs, he smiles and thanks his former club members for their voluntary help. The girls are more than happy to help, with Yasuda explaining that they wanted to contribute to their president's bright future. Mitsuya reminds an apologetic Yasuda to stop calling him that.
Mitsuya's name is announced along with his theme: Twin Dragons. The two designs are likened to two dragons--- one made of "heavenly" light cashmere and the other "earthly" dark velvet. Takemichi watches and wishes Draken could see this. The judges are in awe of the pieces; as Mitsuya is announced as the winner, Takemichi proudly decides Mitsuya belongs in the fashion world, not the delinquent world.
Mitsuya emerges onto the stage in his Toman uniform with his hair partially shaved, revealing his matching tattoo with Draken.[2] His unexpected status as a gang member shocks the crowd, who begins whispering. Stepping up to the microphone, Mitsuya thanks the judges for the award. Taking a pause, he wonders if Draken can see him. He recollects his conversation with Takemichi and announces his intention of joining Takemichi.
Loudly, he declares his rejection of the award; the crowd gasps in shock. As Mitsuya bows in apology to the judges and those who helped him, the angry judges yell at him for tarnishing the prestigious award. The crowd begins throwing things in protest. Still facing the jeering audience, Mitsuya explains that the award is worthless if he abandons his friends who have made him the happiest.
