He realizes that Haruchiyo has manipulated the railroad to kill the members off, and flees from the scene to stop the accident. Kakucho, who Takemichi was battling against, orders him to return to their fight but decides to chase him instead.

Takemichi begs to let him go. He predicts that the vision must have already begun and locates Haruchiyo to be at the end of the tracks. With this, he concludes that he must stop Haruchiyo at all costs, but he is hurled away by Kakucho who, after finally catching up to him, demands an explanation for his escape. Takemichi brings himself back up on his feet, and urges him to move lest anyone die.
