Taiju is attacked by Haruchiyo
Mikey asks Takemichi why he came back to the past. Takemichi tells him of the events that occurred in the present, where Mikey had gunned him down and made a suicide attempt which Takemichi had stopped in time by promising to save his past self. Taiju overhears their exchange and wonders cluelessly about it. Meanwhile, Haruchiyo stands back up and attacks Taiju from behind.

Chifuyu apologizes to Takemichi
Afterward, Haruchiyo, who also overheard their conversation, refuses to let Takemichi succeed with his goals and explains that he does not realize that Mikey's tragic fate had already been sealed since childhood. Hanma appears beside him and observes that Takemichi is the only Toman member left standing, but Chifuyu barges in and charges at Hanma with a kick, which Hanma deflects with a punch.
Chifuyu is flung away but he pushes himself back up on his feet. He promises Takemichi that he will never let him fight alone again as he regrets blaming him for Draken's death. As the Vice-Leader of the Second Generation Toman, Chifuyu also promises to devote his life to him.
