"In those days" is the first chapter of the sixth volume and the 43rd chapter overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers manga series, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.

Summary

Baji recounts an event he believes led to what he refers to as "the incident". Toman's founding members are riding their bikes to a beach trip in Yokohama. However, the pace of their trip is delayed due to Mikey riding a slow, inefficient bike, a moped he ironically refers to as a "CB250T 50cc model" and has nicknamed Street Hawk. Draken implores Mikey to obtain a bike instead, but Mikey responds that his bike is precious to him.

The Mermaids threaten Toman

While they are discussing this, another biker gang, the Shonan Mermaids, arrive and ridicule Toman, including Mikey's moped. They tell Toman to leave Yokohama and prepare to trash Mikey's moped. In response, Mikey threatens to kill the leader of the Mermaids, who is taken aback by this. As they retreat, they threaten to torch Toman's bikes if they are seen around Yokohama again. Baji is ready to fight them, and Kazutora agrees. However, Mitsuya is less inclined to do so, as the Mermaids have left already. Draken says that it is Mikey's fault for riding on the moped, and the rest of Toman laughs, much to Mikey's chagrin.

As they continue their trip, Kazutora and Baji discuss their disappointment in not fighting the Mermaids, and attribute Draken as contributing to Mikey's softness. Suddenly, Mikey announces that his moped has run out of gas, and the rest of the members chide him for his lack of planning, telling Mikey to go to the gas station, as they plan to continue on their trip to the beach. However, Mikey considers this to be a problem within Toman, and proposes that they decide who gets gas through a game of rock-paper-scissors.

Baji drags Mikey's moped

As a result of losing the game, Baji walks to get gas, dragging along Mikey's moped. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang enjoy their time at the beach, engaging in fun, youthful activities, with Mitsuya and Draken having a swimming contest, while Pah-chin and Kazutora admire the women at the beach. However, Kazutora suddenly notices that Mikey is missing.

Mikey kicks his own bike

As he walks along the road, Baji encounters the Shonan Mermaids once more, who remind Baji of their promise to destroy Toman's bikes. Though outnumbered, Baji successfully fends them off, but the Mermaids' leader prepares to strike Mikey's moped with a bat. Baji jumps in front of the moped to prevent this, which reinvigorates the Mermaids' desire to destroy it. Mikey shows up to the scene, saying that he forgot his swim trunks. Abruptly, Mikey kicks down his moped himself, to the shock of both the Mermaids and Baji.

Mikey angrily asks the Mermaids why they hurt his important things (referring to Baji), to which a confused Mermaid member responds that Mikey did it to his own moped. In response, Mikey kicks him in the face, and apologizes to Baji for making him sacrifice himself for the moped. Together, Mikey and Baji beat up the Mermaids.

Kazutora suggests they steal the bike

A short while after, on August 13th, 2003, Kazutora and Baji are riding together. Baji asks where they are going, and Kazutora responds that they are getting a present for Mikey's upcoming birthday, a CB250T. They arrive at a bike shop, where Kazutora proposes they steal a CB250T.
