"Hey, pal" is the eighth chapter of the ninth volume and the 78th chapter overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers manga series, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.

Takemichi thinks back to what Kazutora told him about Hakkai Shiba, the eleventh leader of the Black Dragons: Hakkai killed the previous leader of the Black Dragons for money and took over the gang. However, the Hakkai of the past is friendly to Takemichi, inviting him over to his place and proclaiming their friendship. Hakkai's overprotective sister, Yuzuha, questions why Takemichi is the First Division Captain, as he appears to be a weak fighter. Takemichi is surprised to find that Hakkai has no desire to become a top member of a gang; additionally, though Hakkai is his age, he is awkward with girls, shown when Hina compliments him.

Takemichi asks Hakkai if he gets along with the Second Division Captain, Mitsuya, to which Hakkai says that they get along very well, with both him and Yuzuha saying that Mitsuya acts as an older brother. Hakkai likes Mitsuya so much that he keeps him on his phone lock screen, as pointed out by Yuzuha. Takemichi speculates on how Hakkai changed over twelve years and became corrupted through joining the Black Dragons, wondering if a schism between Hakkai and Mitsuya contributed to the corruption of Toman.

Kokonoi angered by Takemichi's presence
As they approach the Shiba home, Yuzuha remarks that they might be in trouble, as their brother is coming back home. In front of them, numerous members of the Black Dragon gang stand. Hakkai apologizes to Takemichi, telling him to go home. Just then, Black Dragon member Hajime Kokonoi approaches them. Another Black Dragon member recognizes Takemichi as a Toman captain, and Takemichi's presence on Black Dragon territory angers Kokonoi. The Black Dragons threateningly walk towards him and Hina, telling Takemichi that he is not leaving their turf in one piece. Terrified, Takemichi wonders if he will be killed.
