Chifuyu tells Takemichi to be proud
Chifuyu asks what Takemichi means by saying he is from the future. Overwhelmed by his burden, Takemichi tells Chifuyu everything that has happened to him thus far, including how Chifuyu sacrificed himself for Takemichi. As Chifuyu processes this information, Takemichi suddenly panics, writing off all he said as a joke. However, Chifuyu believes Takemichi, telling him that somehow, he always knew the truth. For example, sometimes Takemichi looks different and he knew that Baji was going to die during Bloody Halloween. Although Takemichi feels powerless in his failures, Chifuyu tells him that he is incredible, as he has been fighting alone all this time. He tells Takemichi that he respects him, and reminds him that they are partners. As Takemichi realizes that telling Chifuyu his secret was the right choice, he tears up.

Chifuyu promises to help Takemichi
Later, Chifuyu says the thought of getting killed by Kisaki, along with the premeditation of Baji's death, angers him enough to kill Kisaki. However, Takemichi and Chifuyu know they are overpowered compared to Kisaki's Third Division, which has a hundred men, as well as the new Sixth Division, made up of Valhalla members. Chifuyu is excited to transform the First Division into an unbeatable team, promising to work together with Takemichi to achieve his goals and defeat the enemy.
Two days later, the leaders of Toman have a meeting. Chifuyu, Mikey, and Draken, along with the division captains are there. Upon Mikey's order, Takemichi and Hakkai also enter the meeting area.
