Summary[]

Mucho accosts Hakkai (manga)

Mucho accosts Hakkai

At the Toman meeting, Draken says that Taiju's attack on Takemichi[2] acts as a declaration of war by the Black Dragons. Smiley and Mucho are both eager to fight them, but Mitsuya hesitates, recalling that the current Tenth Generation is much different from the Ninth Generation that they defeated. Smiley and Mucho accost Hakkai for hiding his relationship with the Black Dragons and demand to know if Hakkai is working as a spy. When Takemichi tries to defend Hakkai, Mucho menacingly tells him to shut up. Hakkai tells the group that he expects punishment for his brother's actions and requests to leave Toman.

Takemichi and Chifuyu's simplistic plan (manga)

Takemichi and Chifuyu's simplistic plan

Two days prior[3], Chifuyu and Takemichi had formulated a plan to keep Hakkai from leaving Toman, which they see as one of the causes of the bad future Takemichi witnessed.[4] As Hakkai announces his departure, Takemichi enacts the plan: using Mikey's weakness, dorayaki, they can convince him to deny Hakkai's request to leave Toman. Their simplistic plan does not work and causes Mikey and Draken to become irritated, as Takemichi appears to not understand the gravity of the situation. However, Chifuyu and Takemichi also prepared an alternative plan if the first plan did not work. Checking his notes about the plan, Takemichi balks when he only finds Chifuyu's advice about being confident.

Mitsuya offers to talk to Taiju

As Takemichi frantically thinks about what to do, Draken asks Mikey what his decision is. Mikey replies that he will allow Mitsuya to decide since Hakkai belongs in Mitsuya's division. Hakkai apologizes to Mitsuya, saying that he has already made his decision, to which Mitsuya tells Hakkai not to look so sad, as he understands. Hakkai bows to Mitsuya, telling him that it was a pleasure to work with him. As Takemichi witnesses what he sees as another failure to change the future, Mitsuya tells Hakkai that he did not permit him to leave and asks to talk to Taiju.
