"Run errands" is the fifth chapter of the 10th volume and the 84th chapter overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers manga series, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui.

Summary

Hakkai meets Mitsuya

Hakkai thinks back to when he first met Mitsuya at a playground when he was younger. While taking care of his sisters, Mitsuya stopped Hakkai from beating up another child, telling him that violence should only be used to protect. In the present, Hakkai tries to dissuade Mitsuya from meeting with Taiju, as he does not think anything good will result from it, to which Mitsuya reassures him, telling Hakkai that he always tries to handle his issues alone. Additionally, he asks why Takemichi and Chifuyu decided to come with them; their banter helps lighten up the mood somewhat.

Taiju and Mitsuya come to an agreement

At Taiju's place, he accuses Mitsuya of negatively influencing Hakkai and threatens to kill him. Mitsuya tells Taiju that he will not see Hakkai again, allowing him to join the Black Dragon on one condition: Taiju must stop his domestic violence against Yuzuha, as Mitsuya believes that Hakkai is joining the Black Dragons to protect Yuzuha. In response, Taiju punches Mitsuya, who brushes off the assault. He repeats his conditions to Taiju: Hakkai will join the Black Dragons, Yuzuha will be freed, and Toman will not fight the Black Dragons. If Taiju refuses the offer, the conflict will take place. Taiju ends up agreeing, telling Mitsuya that he will not hit Yuzuha again.

Mitsuya tells Hakkai not to hate his situation

Takemichi and Chifuyu reflect on what just happened, as their goal of preventing Hakkai from leaving Toman failed. However, Takemichi now believes that Hakkai will kill Taiju to protect Yuzuha. Hakkai approaches Mitsuya and thanks him. Mitsuya reminds Hakkai to only use his strength to protect others, causing Hakkai to recount his time at Mitsuya's house shortly after they first met; Mitsuya's sisters are rowdy and rambunctious, and Mitsuya has to take care of them and himself. There, Hakkai asked Mitsuya if his life was hard to deal with. In the present, Mitsuya repeats what he said to Hakkai in the past: don't hate the situation that you're born into.
