Kisaki smiles at his enemies' helplessness
In one of the church's rooms, Hanma restrains Chifuyu, remarking that he put up a good fight, while Kisaki watches. Immobile and gagged, Chifuyu glares with hatred at Kisaki. Outside, Hanma asks why Kisaki decided to work with Takemichi and Chifuyu if he had already decided to betray them. Kisaki smiles, saying that it was fun to render them powerless, to which Hanma laughs, saying that Kisaki is the only person who can keep him entertained.

Taiju strangles Hakkai
Meanwhile, Taiju easily stops Hakkai's attack[2] and begins strangling him, telling Hakkai that he only acts tough, and admonishing him for failing to kill him, telling him not to yell; instead, Hakkai should have quietly stabbed him from behind. Takemichi realizes that Taiju's presence means Kisaki betrayed him and Chifuyu; however, because Hakkai failed to kill Taiju, he wonders if the mission is successful. However, he realizes that Hakkai is now in danger, with Taiju strangling him. Takemichi screams for Taiju to stop; although he is unsure of his abilities to stop Taiju, he knows he has to do something.

Yuzuha stabs Taiju
Once again, Taiju tells Takemichi to stay out of their family's business, letting go of Hakkai to face Takemichi. Taiju taunts Hakkai, telling him that his back is open to stab. Only using half of his power, Taiju punches Takemichi, causing him to lose consciousness. As Takemichi struggles to come to, he is terrified by Taiju's power, believing that he may be killed. Meanwhile, Taiju continues to taunt Hakkai, who cannot do anything out of fear; he tells Hakkai that he plans to kill Takemichi. As he strangles Takemichi, Taiju asks if he knows why Hakkai wants to kill him. Takemichi responds that it is because of Taiju's abuse towards Yuzuha, which causes Taiju to laugh and taunt Hakkai. He threatens to reveal Hakkai's secret, telling Takemichi that Hakkai is not the sort of person he thinks he is. Before Taiju can continue, Yuzuha appears behind him with a knife. Shocked, Takemichi calls out to her, just before she stabs Taiju in the back.
