Synopsis[]
Taiju was stabbed by Yuzuha right in front of Takemichi and Hakkai. However, just before the blade pierced his unprotected back, Takemichi noticed Yuzuha and screamed, causing Taiju to react instantly. He avoids a fatal wound, and instead tries to kill Yuzuha. Takemichi realizes that it was Yuzuha who killed Taiju in the original timeline, and that Yuzuha is the key to avoiding the worst of the future. Takemichi decides to protect Yuzuha from Taiju, but Yuzuha takes up a dagger to stab him once more.
Summary[]
Taiju decides to kill Yuzuha. She attacks him, but he knocks her down. Takemichi then gets in his way, telling him that he is destroying his family. He turns to Hakkai, unable to understand why he isn't doing anything to protect his family. Taiju punches Takemichi, stating that they chose to kill him first. Takemichi can't understand why they chose murder, but Yuzuha tells him that this is the path they chose. Takemichi then realizes that since she killed Taiju, Hakkai took over, but Tetta knew everything and manipulated Hakkai into serving him and took control over Black Dragon.
Takemichi then decides to beat Taiju, since that will protect Yuzuha and won't corrupt Hakkai. Yuzuha takes the knife and stands up. She tells Takemichi to stand aside and that she will protect Hakkai. Takashi shows up and grabs the knife, telling that that this isn't something used to protect someone. Takashi tells her to drop the knife and after she does it, she collapses. Takashi then tells Takemichi to look after her. Takashi turns towards Taiju and tells him that he will be fighting him. Taiju is surprised and wonders about the truce and if Takashi is a man who breaks his own promises. Takashi tells him to shut up and that he doesn't care about the promise, however, he should never hit his younger sister.
Meanwhile, Manjiro and Ken are on the road with their bikes. Manjiro wonders if they heard Takashi's bike before that, but Ken explains that he is the only crazy one that would go out driving in such weather and wants them to head home as its also dangerous to drive in this weather.
Takashi and Taiju start fighting. Takashi is able to withstand Taiju's punches, but his doesn't seem to have an effect on Taiju. Chifuyu also shows up and explains that Takashi saved him after Tetta betrayed him and tied him up. Takemichi wonders why Takashi showed up and Chifuyu explains that he called him as they can't leave Tetta outwit them. Takemichi wonders about the truce, but Chifuyu explains that since Takashi made it, if he breaks it, everyone will be fine.
Takashi falls on his knees and Taiju wonders if he is giving up already as he is only using 70% of his strength. Takashi mocks him and explains that he was just fixing his shoe. Hakkai asks Takashi to stop, since he can't beat Taiju. Chifuyu tells Hakkai to shut up and watch, explaining that Takashi is smart and knows how things will go. He is stubborn and is doing this for Hakkai as he is watching. Their fight continues for a while, but Takashi refuses to fall down and lose. Taiju starts to get tired and guesses its time to end the fight. He then calls Seishu, who appears behind Takashi and hits him with a metal pipe in the head, knocking him down. Hajime also shows up and joins Taiju and Seishu.
Takemichi and Chifuyu are angry and charge them, however, Takashi stands up and stops them. Takashi tells them that the situation is bad. Taiju is a monster and the other two would use whatever means. Takashi himself can no longer fight and Chifuyu is quite beat too, which only leaves Takemichi. If they lose, Yuzuha will go through hell and may even get killed. Takemichi states it will all be fine, because Manjiro and the rest will come, and they just need to hold until then. Takashi wonders if Takemichi called Manjiro, but Takemichi guesses that Takashi called him. Takashi explains he came alone since this is a personal issue. Takemichi is then shocked and loses all hope. Takaashi tells him that if he and Chifuyu can keep the other two, Takashi will fight Taiju. However he can't do it alone and ask Hakkai for help and protect Yuzuha. He knows Hakkai is afraid of Taiju and can't oppose him, but has been protecting Yuzuha until now.
Chifuyu decides to take on Seishu, and tells Takemichi to take on Hajime. He guesses that since Hajime sold them info, once Taiju is defeated, Hajime will back off. The two then engage them and Takemichi grabs Hajime, intending to hold him until this is over. Taiju can't believe that Hakkai is defying him, but Takashi keeps motivating Hakkai. Takashi then charges at Taiju, however Hakkai doesn't move. Taiju then hits Takashi, wondering what he was expecting from Hakkai. Hajime knocks Takemichi and Seishu knocks Chifuyu, noting that he wanted to fight Chifuyu when he was in better shape.
Hakkai gets angry and takes the knife. He rushes at Taiju, but Takemichi stops him and grabs the knife, telling him that if he does it, he will become a hopeless scum. Hakkai drops the knife and Takemichi tells him that he will show him what it means to fight back. Takemichi goes to Taiju, who asks him if he still haven't learned his lesson. Takemichi states that his only redeeming quality. He attempts to punch Taiju, however, Taiju easily punches him. Takemichi goes back at Taiju, who proceeds to keep beating up Takemichi. Taiju wonders how many times he needs to punch him until he is satisfied. Takemichi who is all bloody and barely standing, states he won't lose. Hakkai wonders why he keeps trying when he is so weak and tells him to just stop. Chifuyu also tells Takemichi to stop as they have lost. Takemichi takes out the clover necklace he got from Hinata and asks her to give him courage. Takemichi states he will defeat Taiju and take over Black Dragon.
