"On my way home" is the 11th episode of the second season and the 35th episode overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers anime series, produced by Liden Films.

Synopsis[]

The first Tokyo Manji Gang general assembly was held to welcome the new year. Draken reported in front of the members that he had won the battle against the Black Dragon. Hakkai apologized for involving to Toman in the war against the Black Dragon due to a lie he had told, but no one blamed him and he continued to serve as deputy commander of the Second Division. Furthermore, a surprising new member joined the First Division, of which Takemichi is the captain. Finally, Mikey made a surprising announcement.

Summary[]

Toman have their first meeting since the new year. Ken explains that they had a truce with the Black Dragon, but due to brother's conflict between Hakkai Shiba from Toman and Taiju Shiba leader of Black Dragon, the truce was broken. Due to independent actions by Takemichi and Chifuyu, Takashi, Ken and Manjiro then fought Black Dragon and won. Ken then announces that some members would like to address everyone about the incident and calls Hakkai.

Hakkai comes out and speaks to everyone, explaining it all started due to his selfish lie. That lie eventually dragged everyone and caused the war between Toman and Black Dragon. Hakkai takes full responsibility and apologizes to everyone. Various Toman members then tell Hakkai its alright as everything is over and encourage him. Takashi tells Hakkai that he will continue being the vice-captain of the Second Division and everyone then support that decision.

Ken then calls Seishu Inui and Hajime Kokonoi. The two come out and introduce themselves as the 11th generation of Black Dragon. They explain that the 10th generation led by Taiju was defeated by Toman and Taiju retired. The two then took over Black Dragon and negotiated with Manjiro. Manjiro then explains they are joining under Toman and will be assigned to First Division, under Takemichi. Takemichi wonders if that is Manjiro's decision and he explains that he is respecting their request, agreeing to join only if they are under him. Chifuyu feels they have ulterior motive. Seishu tells Takemichi that he doesn't expect him to trust them yet, but if he needs help, he can always call them.

Lastly, Manjiro wants to say something. He then tells Tetta Kisaki that he is expelled. While members wonder what is going on, Chifuyu explains that he told Manjiro how Tetta betrayed them, but didn't expect Manjiro to kick him out. Tetta wonders if Manjiro is joking, but Manjiro states he wouldn't joke about it. Shuji states that if Manjiro is kicking out Tetta, that means he will also leave, which means of the 450 Toman members, the 50 former Moebius and 300 former Valhalla members will also leave, and that will leave Toman with only 100 men. However, Manjiro doesn't care, stating that Toman had gotten too big anyway. Tetta finds it insane as growing Toman should be the objective. Manjiro then asks him if instigate the Black Dragon conflict to grow Toman. All the Toman members start to wonder how Tetta is involved. Manjiro explains that Tetta incited Takemichi and the rest, and gave Yuzuha a knife to kill Taiju. Manjiro had turned a blind eye to his underhanded methods for growing Toman, but that stops now. Tetta states that Manjiro is wrong and had gotten weak. He also states that Taiju was a threat to Toman and he did it for Manjiro's sake. Ken stops Tetta, but Shuji attacks him. Tetta goes to Manjiro and tries explaining him that he can help him make Toman become big, and when they get big, they will breed darkness and Tetta will take it all. He tries to explain that Manjiro needs him, but Manjiro denies it telling him that he assumptions will screw up Manjiro's dream. As Manjiro leaves, Tetta falls devastated on his knees. Ken then announces the meeting is over and with Tetta's expelling Takemichi wonders if the mission is success.

Manjiro and Ken are working on a bike. As they finish, they check if it starts and as it starts, Manjiro gets excited and goes to bring Takemichi, although Ken tells him that he called him and he is on his way already. As Takemichi comes with Chifuyu, Manjiro and Ken present him the bike, a CB250T, also known as "Babu", a twin of Manjiro's bike. Manjiro explains that his brother found their engines when he was travelling for parts in some town in the Philippines. He then gathered parts and revived Manjiro's bike. As he didn't do anything with the other one, Ken and Manjiro had gathered parts and repaired it themselves. Manjiro then tells Takemichi that the bike is now his. Takemichi is surprised, but Ken explains that it doesn't look good the captain of Division One to not have a bike. Takemichi feels its too important bike, but Manjiro states its better than keeping it for display. Chifuyu gets excited for Takemichi and tells him to ride it. Takemichi then gets on the bike and Manjiro gets on behind, telling him that he will teach him how to drive and to drive around the block.

The two go around while Manjiro keeps telling Takemichi to switch gears, but Takemichi ends up using the break each time. As Takemichi finally starts to get the hang of it and they ride smoothly, Manjiro explains that his brother felt it was destiny when he founds the engines. He felt like they were calling him. Manjiro wishes that he visits that place one day and Takemichi states they should, so the two end up promising to do it.

Later, Takemichi is with Chifuyu. Chifuyu wonders what happens next as no one died and Tetta is out of the gang. He guesses that Takemichi will be going back to the future and Takemichi confirms. Takemichi thanks him, stating he wouldn't have done it without him and that Chifuyu is the best friend he ever had. Chifuyu states they will meet again in 12 years.

The next day, Takemichi meets with Naoto and tells him that he leaves Hinata in his hands. Takemichi knows he sounds strange, but tells Naoto to take care of his sister. Takemichi then shakes Naoto's hand and travels back to the future. However, a bit earlier he met with Manjiro and the rest one final time. He tells them that Keisuke Baji final words were that Tetta is the enemy and that the captain of the third division isn't Tetta, as only Pah is. He also said that Pah, Ken, Takashi, Kazutora and Manjiro are his treasures. Takemichi tells them to not forget what Keisuke was trying to achieve and they should stay strong. He then tells Manjiro that he can build a new era on his own. Takemichi then also ask them to take a picture together. They find it a "pain", but agree.

Takemichi finds himself back in 2018. He wonders where he is, but as he isn't in prison, it means things have changed. A woman then approaches him stating its been a while. However, Takemichi can't recognize who that is. She knows he is quite busy and thanks him for managing to come. As she invites him to come along, he realizes he is at a funeral. He sees another woman, who thanks him for coming to her brother's funeral, however Takemichi can't recognize her either. As he moves along, he hears that their names are Mana and Luna. He then realizes he is at Takashi's funeral and rushes inside, where he sees its indeed Takashi's funeral.
