"Run out of patience" is the third episode of the third season and the 40th episode overall of the Tokyo卍Revengers anime series, produced by Liden Films.

Synopsis

In order to investigate the intentions of Tenjiku and Kisaki, Takemichi decided to take Chifuyu's advice and return to the present day once. There, Takemichi met Taiju Shiba and learned that the real head of the Tokyo Manji Gang was now Izana Kurokawa, who had been the leader of Tenjiku. However, Seishu Inui (Inupi) and Hajime Kokonoi (Koko) appear at the scene under Izana's orders, and are eventually driven back by Kisaki and Kakucho. After shaking Naoto's hand for the last time, the time-released Takemichi calls the young Naoto to shake his hand in order to confirm his safety.

Summary

Hinata learns about the future

After Takemichi and Naoto get shot and shake hands, Takemichi returns to the past. Not believing that Naoto would die, Takemichi meets with the young Naoto and shake his hand, intending to return to the present, however as nothing happens, Takemichi realizes that Naoto had died in the present. Takemichi then apologizes to Naoto for calling him there and tells him to go home. He sees someone still standing in front of him and wonders why Naoto haven't left yet. He starts talking to him, recalling how they met and how he did everything to save Hinata. He states he needs to change the past again and save Naoto as well, alongside Hinata, however as he keeps on failing in the present, he starts to feel its pointless and it may be just better if he dies. Hinata then tells Takemichi that she loves him, noting that she heard everything and he mistook her for Naoto. Hinata then asks him how old he really is. After Takemichi states he is 26, Hinata asks him if he proposed her in the future. Takemichi explains that he haven't, but always thought it would be great if they got married. She asks him if he is proposing now and after Takemichi confirms, she states that she can die happy now. Takemichi then decides that he can't give up.

As the morning comes, Hinata tells Takemichi that she is going home before her parents wake up. She also tells Takemichi that she will pretend that she didn't hear anything about the future. Takemichi then reaffirm himself, guessing that Izana was one of the reasons why Manjiro fell into darkness, but is sure that Tetta is also involved. However Takemichi wonders why Manjiro trusts Izana more than Ken, and if they have already met before. Takemichi then runs into Ken.

Manjiro learns about Izana being his half-brother

At Manjiro's place, Emma prepares breakfast for Manjiro and her grandfather. As Manjiro prepares to eat, Ken arrives with Takemichi and Manjiro tells them to wait in his room. Ken then leads Takemichi to Manjiro's room, which is a small shed separate from the house that also used to be Shinichiro's work place. After a bit, Manjiro joins them. They speak of Izana and Manjiro states he met him the other day. As Izana is Black Dragon's Eighth Generation leader, Ken reveals that Shinichiro was the founder of Black Dragon, and the only people who know that are Manjiro, Ken and Keisuke. When they helped Kazutora in his fight against Black Dragon, they though that this info would be a hindrance to other Toman members and kept it a secret. Manjiro explains that he spoke with Shinichiro before they fought the Ninth Generation Black Dragon. Shinichiro already knew that Black Dragon weren't as cool as before, since the Eight leader changed it all, and told Manjiro that he is free to fight them as Black Dragon were a gang that he left for Manjiro to take over. Emma comes bringing some tea. As Tanjiro asks Manjiro if he haven't met Izana, Emma states that Izana is her big brother. The group is surprised and Emma again explains that she told Manjiro so many times that Izana is Manjiro's half-brother, that her name used to be Emma Kurokawa and that she had an older brother. Emma doesn't remember much of Izana, since they were together until she turned 3 years old, but Izana used to get along with Shinichiro.

Emma then brings a box full of letter, stating they found it when they were going through Shinichiro's stuff. They are all from Izana, however she haven't read them. While going through the letter, Ken finds a letter that he guesses was the first one. Reading it, Izana thanks Shinichiro for visiting him and that its nice to have a family. After reading another letter, Manjiro excuses himself and goes for some fresh air. Ken then reads that letter, seeing that Izana tells Shinichiro that his head has been aching badly recently and he believes its Manjiro's fault, so Shinichiro should stop telling him about Manjiro. Ken guesses that Izana had been abandoned by his family and Shinichiro was the first to visit him and his only support. Takemichi guesses that Izana was jealous, especially after he heard that Black Dragon was meant for Manjiro. Ken explains that when they formed Toman, Shion Madarame, Ninth Generation Black Dragon's leader told them that he will carry on the will of the eighth leader, and crush Manjiro and Tokyo Manji Gang. Ken believes now that Black Dragon attack on Kazutora may have been planned by Izana, so that they can crush Manjiro without Shinichiro finding out. Takemichi then realizes that since Shinichiro is now gone, Izana decided to form Tenjiku and crush Manjiro.

Takemichi decides to kill Izana and Tetta

Later, Takemichi meets with Chifuyu and tells him about Izana. Takemichi then states that he will continue working alone, and that Naoto had died in the future and that he can't return. He explains that Toman and Tenjiku's battle will end in a draw and the gangs will unite with Manjiro as leader and Izana and Tetta will get their hands on Manjiro. Takemichi intends to end this brotherly conflict and kill Izana and Tetta, even if he dies himself. Chifuyu explains that when Takemichi called him, he called everyone from First Division. As their captain he needs to also tell them and ask them what they intend to do. Takemichi's friends from First Division then come in and hearing about Izana, they explain that they will fight him and are ready to sacrifice themselves for Takemichi. Takemichi thanks them and calls their first strategy meeting.

Yasuhiro beats Takemichi

A car stops outside Takemichi's house and a Toman member calls Takemichi down. As they all come out, Takemichi sees Yasuhiro Muto coming out of the car. Chifuyu quickly warns him that this is bad and that Yasuhiro has a special position in Toman. Other Toman members then come out and capture everyone. Yasuhiro then grabs Takemichi and starts hitting him. After beating him, Yasuhiro is annoyed that Izana is making more work for him and tells Haruchiyo to put Takemichi in the car.

Takemichi later wakes up in a dark room. As Yasuhiro is there, Takemichi tells him that this isn't the time to fight between themselves since they are in a war with Tenjiku. Yasuhiro then states that everyone is here and tells Haruchiyo to turn the lights on. Takemichi then sees Hajime and Seishu are also beat up and tied up.
