Sakurako Sano (佐野 桜子, Sano Sakurako?) was the mother of Shinichiro Sano and Manjiro Sano.
Appearance[]
Sakurako has long black hair that she ties up into a ponytail and black eyes, sharing characteristics with both of her sons.
She is only seen wearing a hospital gown.

Kanto Manji Arc[]
Sakurako only appears in Mikey's flashback where she is only seen in the hospital as she is bedridden. Mikey visits his mother weekly, mostly telling her about how he beats up other kids his age. He also asks her about his father if he ever cried in front of others. On her death bed, Sakurako tells Mikey that not crying doesn't makes him strong. Rather, he also cried a lot as a baby. Three days later, she passes away from succumbing to her illness.

- Manjiro Sano - Sakurako seems to love her son very much. Mikey always looked forward to visiting his mother every week to tell her about his stories.
Etymology[]
- The name Sakurako means "cherry blossom" (桜) (sakura) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Sakurako's surname Sano means "help, aid" (佐) (sa) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).
