History[]
Before founding Black Dragon alongside Keizo Arashi, Takeomi Akashi, and Shinichiro Sano, Wakasa led Kodo Rengo, a gang that dominated eastern Kanto.[1] His gang was known to frequently clash with the western gang Ragnarok that was once led by Benkei, but Shinichiro dissolved their dispute by unifying their gangs[2] and forming a new one with Wakasa as the captain of the Special Attack Unit.[3] Upon the First Generation Black Dragon's disbandment, Wakasa dedicated his time in managing and maintaining a gym with Benkei before being scouted by Senju Kawaragi to join her newly-formed gang Brahman.[4]
Plot[]
Three Deities Arc[]
Wakasa with Brahman's leaders
One rainy evening, Brahman confronts Rokuhara Tandai who vocalizes their wish to conscript Takemichi Hanagaki into their gangs. A fight ensues between them and Keizo Arashi is taken down by Kakucho, but Wakasa counterattacks by sneaking behind him with a threat to battle.[5] He is then introduced to Takemichi by Seishu Inui who both watch the encounter unfold from the sidelines. According to Inupi, Wakasa is a founding member of Black Dragon and its former Special Attack Unit Captain, making him a current Brahman Executive and the other half of the Living Legends duo.[6]
During the Battle of Three Deities, Wakasa prevents Brahman President Senju Kawaragi from joining the fight so as to not harm her in any way, bringing up the death of Ken Ryuguji as a warning of the dangerous encounter they are currently involved in. Before running off with Benkei to defeat Rokuhara Tandai Representative South Terano, Wakasa tells Takemichi to watch over Senju as the battle transpires.[7] Afterward, he meets up with South and strongly kicks his head, telling him to settle the score between him and Benkei rather than an outraged Takeomi Akashi.[8]
Wakasa stops Senju from getting involved in the battle
Spectating from the sidelines, Senju informs Takemichi of Wakasa's history before his involvement in Brahman: as the once mighty leader of the infamous Kodo Rengo gang from East Kanto, Wakasa was profoundly feared and respected by his juniors.[9] His fast and enhanced fighting abilities gained him the nickname "White Leopard," an alias he has always been known for in the region, and Takeomi's recognition of his ability to fight, making him the one of the toughest fighters in Japan in his eyes.[10]
In the present, Wakasa showcases his powers by kicking South in the face once more and successfully defeating him with Benkei's aid.[11] However, South recovers from their attack and Wakasa is beaten by him. Senju comes to their rescue and strikes a battle against South, but not before apologizing to Wakasa for going against his orders to not involve herself in the battle.[12]
In a series of flashbacks by Takeomi during the Three Deities war, Wakasa appears with him, Benkei, and Shinichiro Sano in several visions reminiscing their time together before and during the establishment of Black Dragon.[13] In another vision, Wakasa remarks Senju's strength and wholeheartedly supports her decision to form a gang of her own.[14]
